Ministry of Social Affairs Prepares ATENSI Creation Center in Bandung: More Cafes are the Appeal
BANDUNG (March 18, 2021) - The Indonesian Minister of Social Affairs, Tri Rismaharini, reviewed the readiness for the construction of the ATENSI Creation Center (SKA) at the Wyata Guna Disability Center in Bandung. More cafe owned by the Wyata Guna Disability Center in Bandung is predicted to be the main attraction.
SKA as a center for entrepreneurship and vocational development as well as a media for promoting the work of beneficiaries in one area is realized by the Ministry of Social Affairs in order to provide social rehabilitation services.
Social rehabilitation services are currently multifunctional, not only for persons with disabilities, but also for children, the elderly, victims of drug abuse and social disability and victims of human trafficking which are integrated with social empowerment.
When visiting the Wyata Guna Disability Center in Bandung, Risma directed that the ATENSI Creation Center could be built by providing several business fields such as a culinary center, laundry, ornamental plants, laying hens, and shiatshu massage.
During her visit this time, Risma also took the time to visit More Cafe, which is the icon of the Wyata Guna Disability Center in Bandung. This cafe, which was founded in 2019, is a cafe with a barista with a visual impairment. Cafe More has a philosophy that the cup of coffee you drink creates jobs for people with disabilities.
Not only reviewing, Risma was interested in tasting coffee made by Barista Syifa, who is a person with low vision disability. Risma ordered palm sugar coffee and steamed sponge. "The coffee and cake are delicious, I like it," said Risma.
Risma also spontaneously made a video to promote Cafe More with baristas Syifa and Sri, Risma invited the public to try the coffee made by the barista netra. The public needs to know that the work of persons with disabilities can also compete in the entrepreneurial world.
Syifa as the barista of Cafe More is one of the beneficiaries who met and made Risma's coffee directly. "This is the second time I have made coffee for Mrs. Social Minister Risma. The first is at the Bekasi ATENSI Creation Center," said Syifa.
She expressed his joy and hope. "I am even more excited if the ATENSI Creation Center is also built at the Wyata Guna Disability Center in Bandung. Hopefully it will be realized as soon as possible," she said.
Risma will also pay attention to the education of people with disabilities. She supports the implementation of education for people with visual and sensory disabilities, so that the basic right to education will not be hampered.
Several officials from the Indonesian Ministry of Social Affairs attended this visit, including the Director General of Social Rehabilitation Harry Hikmat, Head of the Education, Training and Social Counseling Agency Syahabuddin, Secretary of the Directorate General of Social Welfare Idit Supriadi Priatna, Director of Social Rehabilitation for Persons with Disabilities Eva Rahmi Kasim, Director of the Social Welfare Polytechnic (Poltekesos) Bandung and Head of the Braille Literacy Center Abiyoso in Cimahi and the Secretariat team of the Directorate General of Social Rehabilitation.
