Ministry of Social Affairs Presents Conducts ATENSI to Children's Problems in Dompu
DOMPU (October 15, 2020) - As the Ministry of Social Affairs' Technical Implementation Unit which plays a role in the rehabilitation of children who need special protection, "Paramita" Child Social Rehabilitation Center Need Special Protection (BRSAMPK) in Mataram is actively carrying out ATENSI on children. This time "Paramita" Center Mataram paid attention to the case of children in Dompu Regency, to be precise in O'o Village and Kareke Village.
The first case is a case of sexual intercourse with a 17-year-old child by an adult male neighbor who caused the victim to become pregnant, without any witnesses. This resulted in the legal process having to be postponed until the baby was born and DNA tests were carried out. Referring to the results of the assessment from Social Worker Serve Unit (Sakti Peksos), Dompu Regency, which was the first to handle the child, the officer always emphasized that the best care for children and the prospective baby is in the family, the Center is the last option. In addition, the family is assisted by the local Social Office to ensure that the child can continue to go to school.
The second case is a case of abuse. A child suffered serious injuries to his right arm due to being struck by a sharp disc by another unknown child. This case is reminiscent of a phenomenon that had gone viral in Yogyakarta, namely the Klithih case. As a result of this incident, the victim's arm had to be operated on but so far this has not been done due to the pandemic.
This case is legally completed with a diversion process with the perpetrators providing compensation.
