JAKARTA (March 28, 2021) - Minister of Social Affairs, Tri Rismaharini (26/3) found a woman sleeping on the side of the road in the Petojo area, Central Jakarta. With the Minister's motherly nature and tenderness, Tati is willing to get services at the Center owned by the Ministry of Social Affairs. Not long ago when they were found, Tati, 34 years old, this masculine-looking woman was brought to the "Mulya Jaya" Training Center in Jakarta by the Ministry of Social Affairs' Outreach Team.
Received by the Coordinator of the Social Advocacy and Assessment Section, Agung Santoso, Tati immediately underwent registration and assessment by Social Workers.
Being the youngest child of seven children, Tati is the most loved child by her parents. They once lived on one of the lands owned by PT. Indonesian Railways in West Jakarta. However, due to a fire that caused the death of her mother, one by one his family members moved from one place to another, some were on the road, some became scavengers, and some lived on other people's land.
Since feeling the loss of her mother very deeply, especially being left unexplained by her husband, she has been hanging out more with the street community. Legal documents, such as ID cards, family cards, and BPJS health cards, were lost when she occupied the outskirts of Kali Cideng, Central Jakarta.
In addition, it appears that her left eye is problematic and Tati has complained of pain in her eye since two months ago. Then Social Worker, Dwi Ana Sofianti recommended that Tati immediately get health services before it gets worse if left unchecked.
At 10.00 WIB, Dwi Ana and the nurse from "Mulya Jaya" Training Center, Ihda Ulfia, took Tati to the Eye Clinic of Harapan Bunda Hospital.
Ihda explained the doctor's statement that the results of the examination showed that there was an infection in Tati's eyeball caused by a chemical liquid that accidentally entered her eyes from the silver paint that covered her entire body every day.
"The doctor's advice is that Tati's eye must be surgically removed immediately so it doesn't spread and endanger her health," said Ihda.
After leaving the hospital, Dwi Anna and his team continued tracing Tati's family who live on the edge of the river near the Ministry of Religion building. Meeting Tati's sister, Yuni was very surprised to see her sister being given attention by the Ministry of Social Affairs.

"I thank the Ministry of Social Affairs through Mulya Jaya Center for helping my sister to get surgery. I don't have the money to pay for the surgery while many of my children are still small. I am ready to accompany my sister if needed," Yuni said softly, her eyes brimming in tears.
The team then moved to the house of the RT head in Jatipulo Village, Palmerah District, West Jakarta where Tati used to live to look for personal data and other important documents.
Meeting with Abdul Jamil as the head of the RT, he revealed that Tati was considered like his own family.
"Tati is like my own child, I hope that after this she can change so that her life is more organized. Thank you Ministry of Social Affairs for being very helpful," said Abdul Jamil.
At that location, Tati met her older sister Erni and her older brother Sapi'i.
"We always pray that my sister will help with eye surgery and change her lifestyle, maybe this is God's answer," said Erni.
This family meeting made Tati so happy that she had never met because of their predicament. Through this meeting, Tati became stronger and more eager to rebuild her life because of the support from her family.
For further treatment, apart from getting services at the Center, "Mulya Jaya" Training Center will also seek healing for Tati's eye, which has to undergo surgery at the same time.
