PONOROGO (March 27, 2021) - The Indonesian Ministry of Social Affairs through the Phala Martha Disability Center Emergency Response Team in Sukabumi visited the residence of the "L" family in Jimbe Village, Jenangan District, Ponorogo Regency to provide psychosocial support services (LDP) to L, her family, and the community.
 
This LDP is part of a series of reunification activities for “L” and her baby. "L" Person with Mental Disabilities (PDM) has been abandoned on the street for 4 years, and was found by residents when giving birth to a baby in an empty house in Sukaraja District, Bogor Regency on March 2, 2021.

"L has been facilitated by the Emergency Response Team of the Indonesian Ministry of Social Affairs so that she can reunite with her family in Ponorogo.

LDP to “L”, family and community, aims to provide psychosocial support to “L” and his family, who within 4 years experienced separation and neglect, so that they need to be re-glued so that “L” and her baby get social acceptance and support so that they can adapt. in family and community life.

Sub-coordinator of the Social Assessment and Advocacy Section, Umar Khaerudin said that this LDP was carried out by providing assistance to families, strengthening capabilities and family social responsibilities, so that they could understand the problems faced by L and other problems related to people with mental disabilities.

"L", who has mental health disorders, needs support and acceptance from all of us, let's help together from the family, community, and government so that L can remain stable and can live a normal and independent life," said Umar.

In addition to the Team, the LDP activities also attended, among others: Fahrudin representing the Social Rehabilitation Staff of the Ponorogo District Social Service, Sumanto the Head of Jimbe Village, Nur Ellysa Rusma, the Midwife of the Setono Health Center and Djupri Handoko, the Nurse of the Public Health Center Special Assistant for mental health services, Setono who also provided reinforcement and education. to the family according to their duties.

Each agency stated that it was ready to provide follow-up services to "L" and her baby in the form of population administration, health, and social services to "L" and his baby.

Fahrudin who represented the Social Office said that support and acceptance from the family were the most important factors to keep L's condition stable and calm.

"When the family has paid attention to L, then the village government and social office just need to provide access and what facilities are needed by L," he continued.

The Head of Jimbe Village, Sumanto said that on behalf of the Village Government, he thanked the Ministry of Social Affairs for bringing L to her family.

"Furthermore, it is our duty from the village and the health center to work together to carry out routine monitoring related to the mental and physical health conditions of L and the baby," he concluded.

The LDP activity ended with the delivery of social assistance from the Ministry of Social Affairs to the “L” family in the form of rice, instant noodles, milk and baby equipment.

L's family, represented by Katimun as L's father, is very grateful and thankful to all parties.

"Hopefully all the good that has been done to our family, becomes a field of worship for all staffs. God will give rewards and merit for moral conducts", he said.
