Ministry of Social Affairs Support Facilities and Infrastructure to Anticipate the Impact of La Nina in DKI Jakarta

The Ministry of Social Affairs is still working to improve preparedness to anticipate the potential for natural disasters due to flooding due to the La Nina phenomenon in DKI Jakarta Province.

Along with the DKI Jakarta Provincial Social Office and Tagana personnel, the Ministry of Social Affairs held a preparedness ceremony and handed over a number of logistical assistance for natural disasters in Cipayung, East Jakarta. The assistance was handed over by the Director of PSKBA, M. Safii Nasution and received directly by the DKI Jakarta Provincial Kadinsos, Irmansyah.

Safii reiterated that the Ministry of Social Affairs only acts as a supporting system that supports local governments through disaster management facilities and infrastructure, while the Regional Governments are at the forefront of disaster management in their own regions.
