Ministry of Social Affairs Validates PKH and BPNT in Rangko Village

The Ministry of Social Affairs, represented by the Director General of Social Protection and Security, Harry Hikmat, Director of Family Social Security, M.O. Royani, and the Secretary of the Directorate General for Poor Management, Nurul Farijati along with the team validated the distribution of social assistance the Family Hope Program (PKH) and the Non-Cash Food Assistance Program (BPNT) in Rangko Village, Boleng District, West Manggarai on Wednesday morning.

The Ministry of Social Affairs wants to ensure that the villages becoming tourism objects are not neglected, so the presence of the validation team is to record poor families who have not received social assistance yet.

After taking around and making dialogue with the residents, the Ministry of Social Affairs kept still meeting underprivileged families who have not received PKH social assistance. However, regarding the exact number, the Ministry of Social Affairs still await reports from the head of Rangko Village. "If indeed they have not received yet, we will take them into a new KPM PKH. And hopefully, in the beginning of January, we will get the first stage of PKH, so the team as to work quickly to follow up the direction of the Minister of Social Affairs, Juliari P. Batubara", said Director General of Linjamsos, Harry Hikmat.

In addition to validating the distribution of PKH and BPNT social assistance, the data collection was also conducted on houses of residents who were not inappropriate to live. From the observation, it is known that there are around 28 inappropriate residents' houses. After collecting data on damaged houses, the Ministry of Social Affairs will provide home improvement assistance of 15 billion rupiah.
