MoSA and West Java Social Services Strengthen Synergy to Serve People with Mental Disabilities
SUKABUMI
(9 June 2021) - The Ministry of Social
Affairs through Phala Martha Sukabumi Center is ready to synergize with the
West Java Provincial Social Service to provide optimal services to People with
Mental Disabilities.
This was conveyed by the Head of Sub-Division
of Administration at Phala Martha Center, Sarmauli Tamba when receiving a visit
from the Social Service Office of West Java in the meeting room of Phala Martha
Sukabumi Center.
The Head of the West Java Provincial Social
Service, Dodo Suhendar and his staff, namely the Head of the Disability
Section, Doni and the West Java Provincial Social Service Public Relations Team
visited the Phala Martha Center to get an overview of the program carried out
by the Phala Martha Center to synergize with the existing programs at the West
Java Social Service.
Sarmauli Tamba who represented the Head of the
Phala Martha Center welcomed the visit made by the West Java Social Service Office.
"We thank you for the visit made by the Head of the Social Service and his
staff," said Sarmauli.
“On this occasion, we convey several programs
that are being implemented by the Center. We hope that the Center’s Program can
synergize with existing programs at the West Java Provincial Social Service,”
he added.
During the meeting, the Head of the Social Rehabilitation
Section of Phala Martha, Deri Septiadi, explained the Social Rehabilitation
Assistance (ATENSI) program conducted by Phala Martha Center. Furthermore, the
Middle Social Worker, Umar Khaerudin conveyed the implementation of the ATENSI
program that had been carried out in the West Java Region.
The Head of the West Java Provincial Social
Service, Dodo Suhendar said that there was a need for collaboration in the
implementation of service programs for People With Mental Disorders (ODGJ).
"An important step in this collaboration
is strengthening the capacity of Human Resources in the social rehabilitation
process," said Dodo. Social empowerment efforts for ODGJ are also very
important so that they have the skills for their independence.
