MAJENE (August 1, 2022) - The highlight of the National Children's Day (HAN) commemoration in Majene Regency was held at the pavilion of the Majene Regent's house. Majene evacuee children were very enthusiastic about participating in this event, especially since they had previously participated in various series of HAN commemoration activities that had been held by the Ministry of Social Affairs from 27 to 31 July 2022.
The happiness of the Majene evacuee children then increased when the Minister of Social Affairs, Tri Rismaharini, greeted them virtually.
"Hello my children in Majene, has your school started to be built yet?" Risma asked.
"Yes ma'am," all the children participating in the HAN commemoration who were present exclaimed while waving the red and white flag they were holding.
One of Majene's evacuee children, Akram was also allowed to express his hope.
"Alhamdulillah, thank you, Mrs. Minister, we have a school to be built and given new school equipment, so later we will not go to school in a tent anymore," he concluded.
At the peak of this HAN event, Risma also gave motivation to always maintain their dreams, not to be inferior, not to give up, not to be involved in drugs or bullying, and to keep trying until later they could be successful.
“My children, don't get involved in juvenile delinquency, drugs, and bullying. From now on you must not be lazy, because you will be the leader of Indonesia in the future. It's not easy, but we must not give up," said Risma to all the children who participated in this live stream.
At the same location, there were also 4 other activities, namely the distribution of ATENSI assistance, recording of family cards, ID cards, birth certificates, and MCH from the Dukcapil Service, education and joint toothbrushing as well as disaster and rescue simulations.
