Ministry of Social Affairs Gave Rp 5 billion Prokus to Help KPM PKH Graduation's Micro Busines
During COVID-19 pandemic, social entrepreneurial stimulant assistance was provided as much as Rp. 500,000 / KPM to help support micro businesses that have just been pioneered so that they can survive in the midst of economic difficulties. Later, the selected KPM PKH Graduasi will receive mentoring and social capital assistance in the form of a business capital of Rp 3,500,000 / KPM to further develop its business.
Minister of Social Affairs Juliari P. Batubara symbolically gave BSIMU to 5 KPMs coming from representatives of 5 DKI Jakarta areas in the amount of Rp. 500,000 / person.
"This entrepreneurship program is indeed a form of government intervention as an effort to increase the income of the PKH Graduasi KPM who have a business start-up," explained Juliari in her address at the Aneka Bhakti Building, Ministry of Social Affairs.
Furthermore, the Minister of Social Affairs also explained that social entrepreneurship program is an anchor program for the social empowerment program at the Ministry of Social Affairs.
Director General of Social Empowerment Edi Suharto added that the social entrepreneurship program was created in accordance with the integrated and sustainable program so that it could be sustainable with the Family Hope Program.
The Minister emphasized that the Ministry of Social Affairs must be able to empower people who got social assistance. So, it does not only rely on continuous assistance. They must be able to be economically independent, not just rely on assistance from the government. Furthermore, the Minister of Social Affairs Juliari emphasized that the Directorate General of Social Empowerment must have a target. Because every program must have a target so that the level of success is measured.
In the implementation of this social entrepreneurship program there is assistance from the TKSK. For facilitators, training must be provided so that they have the competence to be able to direct KPM PKH Graduasi towards a more prosperous level.
Besides distributing BSIMU, the Ministry of Social Affairs also organizes Technical Guidance. The event was attended by 50 participants consisting of PKH Coordinator, TKSK Coordinator and KPM PKH Graduation representatives in DKI Jakarta area who had business pioneers who were directly present; and 170 KPM PKH Graduasi and their assistants in their area. In addition to participate in the technical guidance directly, there was also a virtual participant. The speaker came from practitioners of social entrepreneurship.
"This technical guidance is indeed a form of strengthening micro businesses by providing education for them to be able to develop their businesses," said the Director General of Social Empowerment.
In this Social Entrepreneurship program, the Directorate of Social Empowerment of Individuals, Families, and Community Institutions (PSPKKM) implements 3 Entrepreneurship program models namely the Nursing Model for potential business recipients, the Mentoring Model for recipients who have a flourishing business, and the Incubation Model for recipients who have business advanced business.
