KOTA GAJAH (9 March 2024) – The Ministry of Social Affairs remains dedicated to enhancing economic empowerment within society, with a particular emphasis on vulnerable groups like victims of trafficking (TPPO). MoSA has provided extensive entrepreneurship assistance to beneficiaries across Indonesia through Nusantara Economic Heroes (PENA).

One of the recipients, M Aji Nur Iman (24), who lives in Dusun Pasar II RT 042 RW 022 Kota Gajah Village, Kota Gajah District, Central Lampung regency, has been assisted by MoSA. With MoSA's help, he has successfully set up a stall named "Roti Bakar Jibon" in a prime location near the bustling Kota Gajah market. The stall is open daily from 5 p.m. until the evening, offering various mouthwatering and creative toast options.

"I operate the stall from 5 p.m. until the evening, every day. My monthly income can reach approximately IDR 2,400,000. I'm eager to expand my business to new locations while I wait for assistance," Aji expressed.

In response to that, MoSA offered support by offering capital in the form of facilities such as food stalls, kitchen tools, and any other necessary items to run his business.

Thanks to some help, Aji has managed to increase his income significantly. He expressed his appreciation for achieving a monthly revenue of IDR 2.4 million.

Interestingly, Aji faced his fair share of obstacles on his entrepreneurial journey. In the past, he had experience working at a restaurant in Malaysia in 2020. Upon his return to Indonesia in 2023, Aji obtained support from MoSA to kickstart his business once again.

The toast business exemplifies the unwavering determination and commitment required to achieve success in the business world. MoSA is dedicated to providing ongoing support to the public, particularly individuals like Aji who have been affected by trafficking, to help them not only survive but also flourish in the midst of constantly shifting economic conditions. The Nusantara Economics Hero (PENA) programme has become a concrete example of the effort, offering effective and sustainable support to communities throughout Indonesia.
