JAKARTA (June 19, 2022) - The Ministry of Social Affairs through Handayani Center Jakarta continues to make efforts by conducting an initial assessment of the need for Social Welfare Services Recipients (PPKS) for prospective residents of low-cost flat building (Rusunawa) on Jl. New Mill, Hamlet, East Jakarta.

In collaboration with the Social Welfare Institution (LKS) Nara Kreatif, Handayani Center Assessment Team met with PPKS to invite and hope to live in Rusunawa of MoSA so that they can live in a more decent place to live.

Muhammad Yahya (25)--or called Aceng-- is one of the PPKS prospective residents of Rusunawa who works as a scavenger.

"I'm interested in living in a flat to reduce the burden because previously I lived in this area too but the rent was expensive," he said.

Aceng earns IDR 150,000 - IDR 350,000/day hoping to be able to live in a condominium owned by MoSA to reduce expenses for renting a place to live with his wife and children.

Rusunawa occupied by PPKS is located at RPTC Bambu Apus and is equipped with adequate facilities and infrastructure, namely, parking lots, clean water networks, sanitation, electricity, public toilets, public kitchens, multifunction rooms, canteens, and kiosks. In addition, each room is also facilitated with adequate beds, toilets, wardrobes, tables, and chairs.

With the construction of this Rusunawa, it is hoped that PPKS can live in a more decent and socially prosperous place to live.
