SURABAYA (July 13, 2022) - MoSA through the Directorate of Remote
Indigenous Communities Empowerment and Social Entrepreneurship in collaboration with the Institute
of Technology “Sepuluh Nopember” Surabaya (ITS) carried out the Social
Entrepreneurship Program for residents of Papua.
A total of 16 participants, namely 6 people from
Puncak Jaya, 5 people from Yahukimo, and 5 people from Cendrawasih University
(Uncen) will be trained in E-Trail Motor Assembly by lecturers from the Robotic
Engineering Department, Sepuluh Nopember Institute of Technology Surabaya (ITS)
for ten days, 12 - 21 July 2022.
On Tuesday, July 12 at 07.30 p.m local time, all
participants arrived at Wisma Flamboyan, ITS Surabaya Campus. This training activity started on Wednesday
13 July 2022 at 08.00 a.m local time, the training participants came from Uncen
Lecturers, residents from Puncak Jaya and Yahukimo accompanied by Mr.
Bambang S (an expert staff from ITS)
All participants were given an initial
introduction to the e-trail motorbike made by the ITS team. Mr. Bambang
Sudarmanta explained the raw materials, the manufacturing process, and the
length of time they were made. After that, participants were invited to see the
location of the practice of making e-trail motorbikes. Furthermore,
participants held discussions with the ITS team regarding what will be carried
out during this workshop activity.
All participants were very enthusiastic and
eager to follow the introduction of the process of making this E trail electric
motorcycle.
Through this training, it is hoped that all
participants will understand and have the skills to make electric motors and
provide the ability to maintain these electric motors. So that when this
motorbike is handed over to the people of Puncak Jaya and Yahukimo, they
already understand how to use and maintain the use of this electric motorbike.
