JAKARTA (October 31, 2020) - The Ministry of Social Affairs through the "Handayani" Children's Center is still providing Residential-based Social Rehabilitation (ATENSI) Assistance in the Center for "NF". In the last few months, "NF" accompanied by Social Workers and other "Handayani" Children's Center officers have completed the online trial process due to the COVID-19 pandemic. In the case of taking the life of a toddler in the Sawah Besar area, Central Jakarta (03/2020), the Judge stated that "NF" was proven guilty and sentenced him to 2 years by carrying out social rehabilitation at the "Handayani" Children's Center.

Turning from the legal problems that "NF" went through, at 11.45 WIB "NF" gave birth to a daughter by caesarean section. "NF" gave birth to a daughter in a healthy and normal condition weighing 3 kg and height 48 cm. The operation was carried out due to several factors, such as a breech pregnancy, the very young age of "NF", the condition of the eye minus and astigmatism, and the small size of the pelvis so that there was a high risk for normal delivery.

Currently, "NF" is in good health but is still in the process of postoperative care and recovery. Social Workers, nurses, and parents continue to accompany "NF" while in the Hospital. The Head of the "Handayani" Children's Center, Neni Riawati, also came to the hospital to directly monitor the condition of "NF" and her child. "Alhamdulillah, "NF" and her child are in good health. We will continue to assist and ensure that all the needs of "NF" and her child are met," said Neni

After recovering, "NF" will soon participate in teaching and learning activities at high school (SMA) at a private school in East Jakarta. During the process of teaching and learning activities, mentoring and supervision from "Handayani" Children's Center will continue to be carried out considering "NF" will still continue the Residential-based ATENSI process at "Handayani" Children's Center until the verdict period is over.

Furthermore, "NF" children will be cared for directly by "NF" at the "Handayani" Children's Center with the help of other officers. To ensure and determine the best care for "NF" children, a Case Conference will be held with the relevant parties one month or at a later time determined.
