JAKARTA (July 27, 2021) – The Ministry of Social Affairs through Panasea Jakarta Center distributes Social Rehabilitation Assistance (ATENSI) service in the form of providing nutritional support to 30 Elderly who are members of the Kenanga Elderly Integrated Service Post (Posyandu) group in RW 02 Jati Melati Village, Pondok Melati, Bekasi City.

This assistance is a follow-up to the request letter from the Chair of the Kenanga Elderly Group and the Head of RW.02, as well as the results of the previous assessment, carried out on Thursday (15/7) by the Panasea Jakarta Center assessment team in coordination with the local RW.

The distribution of ATENSI assistance was handed over directly by the Head of the Social Rehabilitation Services section, Gunawan and was also attended by Namin, the Secretary of RW 02.

A total of 30 (thirty) nutritional support packages were received directly by the elderly at the local RW office yard while still implementing health protocols.

These elderly feel very grateful for the attention and assistance provided by the Ministry of Social Affairs through Panasea Jakarta Center. Happy expressions can be seen on the faces of the elderly when they receive the assistance provided. Grandma Yongyanih (69) is one of them.

"As the Chair of the Kenanga Posyandu I feel very happy for the assistance given to the elderly like me, thank you very much for visiting and attention," she said.

The same thing was also expressed by Grandpa Yoyo (65) who felt very helped by the nutritional support that had been given. "This is very useful for our extended family, our nutritional needs and household economy are helped, I hope that Allah SWT will repay all of your kindness," he said full of emotion.

On that occasion, Panasea Team accompanied by the PKK mobilizing team handed over ATENSI assistance directly to SIMAH's (72) elderly grandmother who was unable to attend due to physical limitations in her house which was located in a very narrow alley.

The distribution of ATENSI assistance is a manifestation of the attention and mandate of the Minister of Social Affairs to create Social Rehabilitation Centers as the Ministry of Social's Show Window in presenting direct social welfare efforts in the community, especially in the current pandemic situation.
