JAKARTA (July 20, 2022) - MoSA through the Directorate General of Social Rehabilitation held an increase in the capacity of public relations officers within the Directorate General of Social Rehabilitation in providing information and publications.

 

This activity is one of the efforts to optimize the management of public relations which is a function to assist in communicating and publishing every program and activity to the public.

 

The location of the activity at Handayani Center Jakarta was opened by the Secretary of the Directorate General of Social Rehabilitation, Salahuddin virtually.

 

In this activity, Salahuddin said that the science of public relations involves multi-disciplinary science to maximize the process of translating information into content or news.

 

The agenda in this activity discusses journalism, content media, and social media observers or issues of a trending topic, counter topic, or controlling opinion.

 

Hamdan, as a journalist and a speaker in this activity, shared information related to making press releases or writing news that is appropriate for journalism. He said that news is the fastest report of an event that is factual, important, and interesting for most readers and involves the interests of readers.

 

Hamdan added that another important element in writing must be fulfilled with 5 W + 1H, what, where, when, who, why, and how.

 

In addition to the important elements that have been discussed above regarding news writing, another thing that is also related to public relations is the deepening of camera management, where taking good pictures to document activities can be viewed from several aspects such as the type of camera, lens, framing, angle, and camera movement.

 

Patrick Haloam Marbun as a public relations practitioner in the field of Cinematography as a speaker explained that before taking good videos and photos, they must first be adjusted to the needs, meaning that they must prepare basic things such as the type of camera, estimating memory capacity, battery and the amount of data that will be generated from the camera. image recording.

 

“To prevent the occurrence of corrupted photos/videos due to camera errors due to heat or memory capacity that has been overloaded. In addition, it must also pay attention to the sensitivity of the image sensor or ISO (International Standard Organization)”, said Patrick.

 

The last presentation was delivered by Firman Budiman as a speaker for public relations practitioners in the content creator field who shared information about making interesting video content packaged in various presentation formats to be disseminated properly.

"Interesting videos must meet several conditions. These conditions are summarized in Videography. Not much different from photography techniques, the importance of understanding the use of cameras and shooting techniques are intertwined, especially in the Exposure Triangle settings, namely Iso, Diaphragm, and Shutter Speed, "explained Firman Budiman.

The training which lasted for 9 hours was very capable, as evidenced by the hours of training and questions and answers that took place and all participants were able to receive the material well.

The activity was attended online by the Secretary of the Directorate General of Social Rehabilitation, Salahuddin, public relations officers for the Integrated Center and Centers throughout Indonesia, and was attended offline at Handayani Center Jakarta by representatives from each of the Integrated Centers and Centers.
