MAKASSAR (December 1, 2020) - "Pangurangi" People Living with HIV (PLWH) Social Rehabilitation Center, following the World AIDS Day (HAS) which was held at the Sandi Karsa Hospital in Makassar, as well as conducting a live HIV test to break the Indonesian World-Record Museum record of 1030 HIV tests throughout Indonesia.

The HAS activity in South Sulawesi was attended by the South Sulawesi Provincial Health Office, the Indonesian HIV VCT Counselors Association, the Care Foundation for Peer Support Groups, HIV groups and communities throughout South Sulawesi.

"Pangurangi" PLWH Social Rehabilitation Center represented by the Head of the Subsection of Social Rehabilitation Services conveyed the HIV service of ATENSI program at the Center and the infrastructure owned by the Center.

The activity was attended and opened by the Head of the South Sulawesi Provincial Health Office. In his remarks the Head of the Health Office said how to break the chain of HIV AIDS transmission and change behavior is important to reduce the number of HIV AIDS spreads.

The Head of the Health Office added that the presence of HIV activists in this place is a manifestation of our concern for the prevention and transmission of HIV.

During this activity, food aid packages for 50 people with HIV AIDS were also handed over symbolically by the South Sulawesi KPA secretary and flowers were presented to the Head of Service and the Director of the Sandi Karsa Hospital as a symbol of World AIDS Day.
