"Paramita" Center Holds SKA Exhibition to Celebrate HLUN 2021

MATARAM (27 May 2021) - The Ministry of Social Affairs through the "Paramita" Center held an ATENSI Creation Center Exhibition (SKA) in the framework of celebrating National Elderly Day (HLUN) 2021. Activities held in the ATENSI Creation Center Area took place from 09.00 WITA.

By still implementing strict health protocols, all guests are required to wear masks and wash their hands before entering the ATENSI Creation Center area. This was done to minimize the risk of spreading Covid-19. The series of exhibition events were filled with various activities, including the Children's Handicraft Exhibition, Barista Skills Show by Children, and Free Car / Motorcycle Washing Services.

The activity which was attended by the leaders of the Paramita Center partner agencies was lively. At least partners from the NTB Police, Mataram Police, West Lombok Police, NTB Provincial BNN, and the Head of the Village Workshop was also present at the event.

All Heads of Social Services on Lombok Island also fulfilled the invitation of the head of the Center. Also attending were Child Social Rehabilitation Companions and Social Rehabilitation Companions for Persons with Disabilities throughout Lombok Island. Apip Sutardi as the Center partner of the LombokCare Foundation was also present at the activity initiated by the Head of the Center. In addition, the Child Care Foundation, as a child protection partner, also attended today's event.

The head of the "Paramita" Children's Center, I Ketut Supena, revealed that the main purpose of holding this activity was to celebrate National Elderly Day by inviting the retirement of Paramita Center and its partners. "We always hope that our synergy as an institution in protecting children can be tighter, so that the implementation of Social Rehabilitation Assistance can run optimally," said Supena.

"Furthermore, we also want to introduce products made by Children Against the Law which are our fostered children to you as a form of Social Rehabilitation Assistance through a residential approach (in the Center). This is also our step in the success of the ATENSI Creation Center (SKA), " he added.

All guests received a treat in the form of coffee made by ABH. ABH also serves bananas that are processed in the form of banana sticks or fried bananas. The happiness of all the guests was reflected as they were amazed at the hospitality of ABH in serving the dishes.

"It is extraordinary that these children (ABH) can serve dishes in a friendly and polite manner in speaking. Paramita succeeded in providing social rehabilitation for this ABH," said Baiq Usmayanti, Social Rehabilitation Companion for Children in West Lombok Regency.

Not stopping there, Supena invited all guests to the tour office to introduce the changes that had occurred in the Center, including the cultivation of water hyacinth and the cultivation of red tilapia. In addition, there are also agricultural spots in the form of eggplant, large chilies, small chilies, mustard greens, katuk leaves.

All guests were also shown a Yoga Therapy Spot at the Mt. Pengsong Male Dormitory Complex, there is a garden spot with green grass soothing the eyes. In the back, you can also find the oyster mushroom cultivation spots.

Then, all guests were invited to visit the vocational therapy room, welding, and carpentry. There, Supena explained that all the items displayed are items made by children which are then sold to the public, then the proceeds from the sale of these items will be given to the children. "Here we teach the spirit of entrepreneurship to all ABH so that when they leave the Center, they can be productive and have a competitive edge with others," he explained.

Not only seeing the items on display, but many of the guests bought children's handicrafts, such as a place to burn satay, shoe racks, towel racks, clothes hangers, plant racks and just mask connectors made of pearls made by Female Beneficiaries.

The SKA exhibition also features the Retirees of Paramita Center as a form of appreciation for the elderly and celebrating HLUN 2021. The Retirees share experiences with millennial generations and recounts things they have experienced while serving their state duties. In addition, the retirees also shared stories about tips for preparing retirement for employees who are about to retire.

The retirees also urge employees who are about to enter retirement to always be productive and produce meaningful things in their daily lives.

At the end of the session, Supena hoped that the synergy in providing services for children who needed special protection would continue. "If there are any constructive suggestions for the Center, we really hope, of course. We are looking forward to furthering our communication. If you pass by in front of the Center, don't hesitate to stop by for a coffee or wash your car/motorcycle, ladies and gentlemen," he concluded.
