KUPANG (June 17, 2023) - The Indonesian Minister of Social Affairs Tri Rismaharini conducted the 2nd Indonesian Economic Heroes (PENA) Roadshow, at the Efata Center in Kupang, Kupang Regency, East Nusa Tenggara Province (NTT), Saturday (19/6).

The 2nd PENA Roadshow activity after previously being successfully implemented in Malang Regency in April 2023, was also held offline and attended by 500 beneficiary participants and online via live broadcasts on Youtube Channel, Facebook, and Zoom PENA TV, followed by PENA beneficiaries throughout Indonesia.

The purpose of the Roadshow activity which was carried out for 2 days (17-18 June 2023) was to provide supervision and reinforcement to PENA program entrepreneurship actors, to help beneficiaries of the PENA program to promote and market their products to a wide audience, to give appreciation to beneficiaries. PENA programs that are ready for graduation (dropping out of social assistance/not becoming recipients of social assistance) and displaying the success stories of the PENA program. Since its launch in December 2022, the PENA program has successfully graduated 2,707 beneficiaries.

The Roadshow also held a bazaar stand which was attended by PENA program beneficiaries from various districts/cities in the Province of NTT. Apart from the bazaar, the activities were complemented by multiple entrepreneurship workshops/training such as workshop training (automotive), beginner and advanced sewing skills, screen printing skills, cultivation and processing of Moringa leaves, grocery shop business, and culinary/cooking. This workshop brought experienced speakers from national-scale entrepreneurs/companies such as Witrove, Kriya Daun, Dailybox, Mitra Pinasthika Mustika (MPM) Honda, and Sampoerna Entrepreneurship Training Center (SETC).

The event was attended by the Main Expert Staff of the Presidential Staff Office (KSP) Abraham Wirotomo, Deputy for Coordination of Welfare Improvement of the Coordinating Ministry for PMK Nunung Nuryantono, Deputy Representative for Manpower and Population Affairs Bappenas Annisa Sri Kusumawati, Assistant II to the Provincial Government of NTT, Archbishop of Kupang Monsignor Petrus Turang, Forkopimda ranks NTT Province and Kupang Regency, Leaders/Representatives of Witrove Entrepreneurs/Companies, Kriya Daun, Dailybox, MPM Honda and SETC, Special Advisor of the Minister of Social Affairs, Middle and Primary High Leaders and Head of Integrated Centers/Central Offices/Centers of the Indonesian Ministry of Social Affairs.
