Social Minister Requests that the Distribution of Social Assistance Not Exceeding 31 December 2021

BEKASI (23 December 2021) – The Social Minister Tri Rismaharini's directs the ranks of the Ministry of Social Affairs to distribute all social assistance for each Beneficiary Family (KPM) before 31 December 2021.

"Today's activity is direction from the Social Minister in the Monitoring and Evaluation (Monev) for the Distribution Acceleration of Family Hope Program (PKH) and Non-Cash Food Assistance Program (BPNT) Cards so that the distribution does not pass 31 December," said the Inspector General of the Ministry of Social Affairs Dadang Iskandar at BNI Bekasi City Branch, Thursday (23/12).

Today, 23 December 2021, we have accelerated the distribution and activation of the PKH social assistance and Non-Cash Food Assistance Program Cards to around 400 KPM in Bekasi City. The disbursement of the social assistance was in the form of cash and basic necessities.

"the distribution of social assistance is in the form of cash and basic necessities such as rice, vegetables, chicken or meat and fruits and others," he said.

Furthermore, the Inspector General requested that all social assistance received by KPM must be monitored by PKH companions and regional coordinators (korda) so that they are used according to their designation to fulfill family nutrition and reduce stunting.

One of the KPM of BPNT programs, Siti Sarini (31) a resident of Penggilingan Baru Sub-district, Harapan Baru District, North Bekasi, received 8 stages consisting of 6 stages x IDR 200.000 totalled IDR 1.2 million and 2 stages of basic food packages.

“I am very happy and did not expect to receive social assistance which I had never received from the government before. Thank you," said Siti.

Regarding the existence of KPMs that have not received social assistance, it is possible that they are from the expansion of the PKH or BPNT programs or lack of correct information.

"There are still KPM that have not received the social assistance  The PKH companions and Korda will look into it so that they can receive the social assistance before 31 December," said Dadang.

The Bekasi City BNI Branch Manager, Akta Seli Tatu Pusa conveyed his commitment to distribute social assistance in cash to KPM of PKH in accordance with the request from the Ministry of Social Affairs.

"We are ready to distribute PKH social assistance in cash before the deadline of 31 December 2021 with good and orderly services," he said.

The symbolic handover was given to 1 KPM of PKH by the Inspector General, 1 KPM of BPNT/Sembako Program by Head of Financial Bureau, 1 KPM BPNT/Sembako program with disabilities (blind) by the Secretary of InspectorateGeneral.

The distribution of social assistance from the Ministry of Social Affairs is supervised by Law Enforcement Officials in 514 regencies/cities throughout Indonesia, involving the Indonesian Attorney General's Office and the Criminal Investigation Unit of the National Police Headquarters to ensure that it is timely, accurate and on target.

Present at the event were Inspector General Dadang Iskandar; Secretary of the Inspectorate General, Arif Nahari; Head of the Financial Bureau, Mira Riyati Kurniasih; Head of BNI Bekasi City Branch Tatu Pusa Seli Deed; Representatives of the prosecutor's office; Representatives from the Bekasi Police; and representatives of the Bekasi City Social Service.
