SUMEDANG (January 12, 2021) - The Ministry of Social Affairs through the "Phala Martha" Disability Center in Sukabumi has deployed a Case Response Team to provide Psychosocial Support Services and Logistical Social Assistance for residents affected by landslides in Cihanjuang Village, Cimanggung District, Sumedang Regency.
The "Phala Martha" team led by the Head of Center, Cup Santo, together with social workers, social counselors and psychologists went to the location to provide social assistance and Psychosocial Support Services to reduce the traumatic situation experienced by the victim's family.
The gentleman. with the initials "EN" has lost his family members due to landslides.
"That afternoon, I tried to save my wife, children and brother-in-law but to no avail," said EN, starting to tell the story of the landslide that occurred. "I've tried to persuade her home, but my wife insisted on wanting to see and approach the location of the landslide. Not long after, another landslide occurred and killed my family,” continued EN.
"Please be patient with the disaster that you are experiencing, this is all fate," said Cup Santo calming Mr. EN who looks traumatized. "We express our deep condolences for this tragedy and pray that the deceased and the deceased will be husnul khotimah (rest in peace). We share the sadness that you are experiencing, but you have to be strong, persevere, continue the journey of life and keep your spirits up. "On this occasion, we provide logistical assistance as the sign of affection to the father and family left behind," added Cup Santo.

Logistical social assistance for residents affected by other landslides was handed over at the Public Kitchen coordinated by the West Java Provincial Social Office.
The assistance was received by Dadang Mulyana as Head of Social Protection Section of the P3A Social Service of Sumedang Regency.
"We thank you for the assistance that has been given to residents affected by the landslide. We will coordinate with the main post in terms of aid distribution," said Dadang.
Heavy rain that occurred on Saturday, January 9, 2021 in Sumedang Regency has caused a landslide in Cihanjuang Village. Temporary data recorded that there were 44 people, 15 people died and 29 others were injured. Until now, the search for victims who were buried by landslides is still being carried out.
