President Jokowi Ensures Economic Growth from Post-Pandemic Recovery

SUBANG (July 12, 2022) – MoSA continues to accompany President, Joko Widodo, to symbolically hand over social assistance for the elderly, children, and persons with disabilities during the President's working visit to Sukamandi Market, Ciasem District, Subang Regency, West Java.

 

The Director General of Social Rehabilitation, Pepen Nazaruddin, representing the Minister of Social Affairs, Tri Rismaharini, accompanied President Jokowi in the delivery of assistance in the form of ATENSI, PKH, BLT for Cooking Oil and Basic Food for the Elderly, Children and People with Disabilities with a total aid of IDR 181.7 billion.

 

ATENSI (Social Rehabilitation Assistance) through Inten Soeweno Cibinong Integrated Center, Bogor was symbolically handed over to PPKS (Social Welfare Service Recipients) in Subang Regency in the form of accessibility aids, namely 7 (seven) standard wheelchair units, 1 (one) cerebral wheelchair palsy, 1 (one) tricycle motorbike, and 1 (one) hearing aid unit with a total of IDR 66,444,600,-.

 

During this working visit, President Jokowi said that the purpose of this assistance was to provide additional working capital for micro-enterprises, such as street vendors and market traders.

 

Jokowi continued, he also wants to ensure that economic growth is below as a post-pandemic recovery," said President Jokowi.

 

One of the recipients of ATENSI, Kosim (47) who is a person with a physical disability in the legs that he has experienced since birth, received ATENSI in the form of a three-wheeled motorbike.

 

Kosim previously opened a business selling rice, coffee, and necessities around the sub-district which had been running for 10 (ten) years using a small motorbike with an income of IDR 50,000 - IDR 100,000/day.

 

"I am very happy, it's like a dream to get this assistance. I am very grateful to MoSA for helping my business run by providing a tricycle motorbike so that I can be more active in my business", said Kosim, who hopes to open a wholesaler.

 

The mother of Siti Khodijah (15), a sufferer of cerebral palsy, one of the recipients of ATENSI in the form of a wheelchair, also expressed her feeling.

 

"Thank you for paying attention to my child by providing a wheelchair, I hope that my child can walk again", said Siti.

 

The working visit of President, Joko Widodo to Subang Regency was attended by Cabinet Secretary Pramono Anung, Minister of Agriculture, Yasin Limpo, Minister of SOEs Erick Thohir, Deputy Governor of West Java, Uu Ruzhanul Ulum, Subang Police Chief, Sumarni, and officials within MoSA.
