JAKARTA (September 18, 2023) - The Minister of Social Affairs of the Republic of Indonesia, Tri Rismaharini held a press conference regarding the news "Special Schools will be handled by the Ministry of Social Affairs" in the Main Meeting Room of the Ministry of Social Affairs. She explained that the Special School is the domain of the Ministry of Education, Culture, Research, and Technology and not the domain of the Ministry of Social Affairs.

Furthermore, the Minister of Social Affairs will coordinate with the Minister of Education, Culture, Research, and Technology regarding cooperation in providing training for children with disabilities from children who are unable to be given training for independent living. Considering that there are still 42,490 children with disabilities aged 5-18 years who have not received proper education.

Also present at today's activity were Special Advisor to the Minister for Communication and Mass Media, Don Rozano Sigit, Special Advisor to the Minister for Human Resources Development and Ministry Programs, Suhadi Lili, and the Acting Head of Public Relations Bureau, Supomo.
