Preventing Conflict, Ministry of Social Affairs Provides Social Harmony Fund

To create harmony in society and prevent social conflict, in 2020, the Ministry of Social Affairs will provide funds to 350 community groups who are members of the Social Harmony Forum (FKS). Each of the funds given was 150 million which was used for physical and non-physical development.

Examples of physical development seen in FKS in Paninggilan Village, Tangerang City. The community uses the social harmony fund to build two sports fields and an arts center. Interestingly, everything was done in mutual cooperation by the local community. This community cooperation is what they then immortalize in a monument called the Social Harmony Monument.
