CIMAHI (July 6, 2022) - After the success of the series of Information and Communication Technology (ICT) Introduction Training activities at the beginning of last June, the Ministry of Communication and Informatics through the Center for Human Resources Development (BPSDM) for the West Java region and MoSA through Abiyoso Cimahi Center again synergized to present similar activities for the 5th, 6th, and 7th batches from 6-8 July 2022. Located at Abiyoso Center Meeting Building, this time the activity was attended by 60 participants with visual sensory disabilities who were divided into three groups consisting of 20 participants for each group.

The person in charge of the daily activities, Ammy Rakhmiati from the BPSDM Kominfo Bandung, admitted that the collaboration with Abiyoso Center was greatly helped. "From the previous four batches, we considered this activity a success, so we still chose to collaborate with Abiyoso Center for the fifth, sixth, and seventh batches," said Ammy.

In fact, according to her, next year Kominfo will again carry out similar activities by continuing to prioritize people with disabilities. "I represent BPSDM Kominfo Bandung, I hope that this collaboration will continue because next year we plan to target people with disabilities."

One of the participants, Iden Wahidin said that this activity was very useful. He admitted that the ability of people with disabilities in West Java in the field of ICT was not evenly distributed so such activities needed to be carried out continuously.

"The government is supposed to be the pioneer of community development, especially in the field of literacy for the blind, so I think this activity is appropriate."

Iden also expressed his hope that in the future such activities would be given a longer duration so that the benefits obtained would be more optimal.

The head of Abiyoso Center, Agung Hendrawan, also expressed his hope that this activity should provide wide-ranging benefits for persons with disabilities.

"The collaboration between BPSDM Kominfo Bandung and Abiyoso Center is a golden opportunity for persons with disabilities to be used and they get knowledge of ICT and practice it in their daily life," said Agung.

Agung also directed that the participants continue to increase their capacity in the field of education.

"I hope that our friends with disabilities will not be complacent with the knowledge gained during this training. Hopefully, they will continue to learn to become more reliable in the IT field," concluded Agung.
