Receive Assistance from the Minister of Social Affairs, Two Regional Heads: Thank God, It Becomes New Spirit

SURABAYA, TUESDAY (06/07/2021) - The Minister of Social Affairs Tri Rismaharini provided support equipment for handling the Covid-19 pandemic to the people of Surabaya City. Assistance in the form of 250-bed sets, 50 verbed sets, 2,500 pieces of PPE clothes, 2,500 N95 masks, 10 sets of tents, and 60 thousand pieces of medical masks.

 

The handover of aid was carried out on the sidelines of Social Minister Risma leading cooking activities in the public kitchen at the Surabaya Convention Hall Building. In addition to Surabaya, Mrs. Risma also handed over assistance to Gresik Regency and Sidoarjo Regency.

 

"Previously, I have handed over assistance to Kediri and Malang Regency," said the Minister of Social Affairs, yesterday.

 

The assistance provided started from medical masks to beds for handling Covid-19. On behalf of the people of the City of Surabaya, the Mayor of Surabaya, Eri Cahyadi, expressed his gratitude to Mrs. Risma. Eri prays that the assistance can become a charity.

 

“Thank God, we got help from the Social Minister, so this is a new encouragement in the region. With this assistance, we are increasingly confident that we can overcome the Covid-19 pandemic together in our respective areas," said Eri.

 

He also emphasized that the assistance for beds and velbeds from MoSA would be immediately taken and placed at the Lapangan Tembak Hospital in Kedung Cowek, Bulak District. He hopes that when patients come they can immediately feel comfortable being occupied.

 

"We hope to be able to operate the Hospital soon because there are already a lot of people queuing," he said. Gresik Regent Fandi Akhmad Yani who received direct assistance from MoSA also expressed his gratitude to Social Minister Risma. Gresik Regency received assistance with 65 velbeds, 10 tents, 175 boxes of PPE, and 15 cartons of medical masks.

 

"Of course, this will be an additional boost for us in dealing with Covid-19, especially today in Gresik there is a fairly high increase," he said.

 

After assisting, Mrs. Risma accompanied by Mayor Eri directly inspected the preparation of Lapangan Tembak Hospital in Kedung Cowek, Bulak District, Surabaya. The plan is that various assistance from MoSA, especially the 250 beds and 50 velbeds, will be used at the Hospital.

 

These two officials reviewed several rooms that had been prepared to treat Covid-19 patients. Several times they were seen discussing the use of the hospital.

In addition to the above assistance, MoSA also provided food assistance and boiled eggs. MoSA will send 1,500 packs of boxed rice to Gresik, 1,500 packs to Sidoarjo, and 2,000 packs to Surabaya.

MOSA's public kitchen in Surabaya will continue to be active until Covid-19 begins to decline. Even so, MoSA will see the development of Covid-19 in the three districts, if it has gone down its operations will be reviewed again.
