Regional Government of Jambi Appreciates “Alyatama” Children's Center to Overcome COVID-19
JAMBI (2 June 2020) - Jambi Province Governor, Fachrori Umar accompanied by the Mayor of Jambi, Syarif Fasha and the Head of the Jambi Province Social Population and Civil Registration Office, Arif Munandar, symbolically handed over the Children Basic Food Assistance from the Ministry of Social Affairs through the Jambi "Alyatama” Children Center on Monday (1/6).
Imron Rosadi as the Head of "Alyatama" the Children's Center and the Basic Food Assistance team also attended the symbolic handover to five children, the representatives of five Child Social Welfare Institutions (LKSA). A total of 1,006 children from 25 LKSAs received Children Basic Food Assistance provided by the Ministry of Social Affairs.
Located at the Command Post for the Task Force for Handling COVID-19 at the Fire Department, Fachrori interacted directly with one of the aid recipients, M. Maulana.
"What's your name ? Are you happy that you receive this assistance?" asked Fachrori softly. Maulana answered shyly and said his name and expressed his joy.
Fasha, the nickname of the Mayor of Jambi who was also present at the event, gave appreciation to the Ministry of Social Affairs through the "Alyatama" Children's Center which helped Jambi Province in dealing with the COVID-19 pandemic in the child sector.
"Hopefully this assistance can be used well by the recipients," said Fachrori.
The symbolic handover of the Children Basic Food Assistance coincided with the delivery of Social Safety Net Assistance by Jambi Province to Beneficiary Families in Jambi City.
