Respond of 1,200 Affected Residents in Yalimo, Social Minister: We Send Aid Tonight

JAKARTA (3 July2021) – The Ministry of Social Affairs is preparing to send social aid to the victims of the mass riots in Yalimo Regency, Papua.

"I ordered to send aid for affected residents in Yalimo Regency, Papua at 01.00 am tonight," said Social Minister Tri Rismaharini in Jakarta, Saturday (3/7/2021).

Aid from the Ministry of Social Affairs will be delivered by plane. The aid will arrive in Timika at estimated 07.00 and will be transported to the location in Yalimo by a Twin Otter plane.

The Aid consists of 1000 ready-to-eat meals, 200 blankets, 20 small tents, 100 children's food, 200 kids ware and t-shirts, and 200 sarongs.

Until now, there are 1,200 affected residents who have taken refuge in Yalimo Regency, Papua as a result of the mass riots on Tuesday (29/6/2021).
