Reviewing West Lombok Flash Flood Evacuees, Social Minister Distributes Logistics Aid and Compensation Directly

The Indonesian Ministry of Social Affairs acted quickly to distribute logistical assistance to victims affected by flash floods in West Lombok.

Social Minister Risma went directly to observe flash flood evacuees in Batulayar Village and Kekait Village, Gunung Sari District, West Lombok Regency, NTB to ensure that the basic needs of disaster-affected residents were met, such as food and temporary shelter, Friday (10/12).

Logistics assistance was provided, namely 650 food packages, 50 foodware packages, 50 Family Kit packages, 50 Kidsware packages, 50 family kitchen utensils packages, 40 Roll Tents, 30 mattress units, and 5 velbeds.

For victims who died, the Ministry of Social Affairs provided compensation for heirs for 5 people of Rp75 million each of Rp15 million, and compensation for serious injuries for 1 person of IDR 5 million and a total compensation of IDR 80 million.

The total assistance in the form of logistics and compensation was IDR 367,073,825.
