Risma Holds Virtual Joint Prayer, Hoping the Covid-19 Pandemic Will End Soon

JAKARTA (2 July 2021) – Social Minister Tri Rismaharini and all employees of the Ministry of Social Affairs held a virtual prayer through the Zoom Meeting application.

To avoid crowds, the meeting was be held virtually.

“The Covid-19 pandemic brings sorrow to our nation and country. I believe that all these conditions are the creation of God Almighty," said the Social Minister in Jakarta, Friday (2/07/2021).

As a religious community, we need to pray that the Covid-19 virus will soon disappear and life can go on as usual.

"With sincere intentions, we pray for the conditions to get better soon. Insya Allah,  God will grant the request," hoped the Social Minister.

Previously, the Ministry of Social Affairs had implemented a work system of 10 percent of employees working from the office. Meanwhile, the remaining 90 percent of employees work from home.

"Maybe we made a mistake, there was negligence. Let's all ask forgiveness from God. With a request for forgiveness, God will answer all of our prayers,” hoped the Social Minister.

The joint prayer activity was attended by thousands of Ministry of Social Affairs employees through the Zoom Meeting application and broadcast live on the official Youtube Channel of the Ministry of Social Affairs.

"Hopefully in 2021, we are guarded from all natural disasters, social disasters, and other disasters," said the Social Minister.

The prayer activities are according to the religions in Indonesia, namely Islam, Protestant Christianity, Catholic Christianity, Hinduism, Buddhism, and Confucianism.
