TAKALAR (June 10, 2021) - Recipients of the ATENSI Residential Program from "Pangurangi" Center made handicrafts i.e ATENSI scented candles (lavender aroma therapy candles) labeled ATENSI and Scandinavian themed wall hangings.

This activity was carried out at the handicraft workshop of Training Center, according to the handicraft supervisor who is also a Social Instructor, Qadriansyah said that this activity aims to develop the creativity of the beneficiaries in making various kinds of products that can have economic value and can be sold in the handicraft market.

Furthermore, ATENSI Scented Candle is a brand created by beneficiaries to become the name of their creations. ATENSI aroma therapy candles created by the beneficiaries are made by adding lavender-scented essential oil. Lavender aroma is believed to provide a relaxed and calm atmosphere, thereby reducing feelings of fatigue and being able to relieve allergies to air.

Apart from aromatherapy candles, the next craft creation is a Scandinavian themed wall hanging. This hanging is made from materials that are easy and often found around us, for example ice cream sticks, used cardboard and dried wild grass flowers. With a touch of creativity, these materials can be processed into minimalist Scandinavian-themed wall hangings that can add a unique impression to the interior walls of the house.

One of the beneficiaries, Saputra, said that he felt happy taking part in handicraft activities, usually his free time was spent without positive activities, but learning to make handicrafts made him able to use his free time to produce simple products but had economic value.
