JAKARTA (November 10, 2019) - Commemorating Heroes' Day 10 November, the Minister of Social Affairs represented by Inspector General Dadang Iskandar was present at the Flower Sowing ceremony on the KRI Banda Aceh 593 warship in Jakarta Bay, where as the ceremonial inspector namely the Chairman of the Supreme Audit Agency (BPK) Agung Firman Sampurna. At the ceremony also attended the Secretary of the Directorate General of Social Empowerment Arif Nahari, Menpora Zainudin Amali, the Flower Sowing Ceremony was also attended by members of the TNI, Polri, Veterans, hero families and invited guests.
The Flower Sowing Ceremony is a marine pilgrimage activity such as a pilgrimage at the grave of a hero with the intention of connecting the mind between the pilgrim and the spirit of the Hero who died at sea, based on respect and a statement of the nobility and merit of the deceased with the aim of awakening, developing and strengthening heroism and praying that the spirits of the heroes are accepted and have a place they deserve.
The Secretary of the Directorate General of Social Empowerment who was met at the ceremony said that the commemoration of the 74th Hero's Day raised the spirit of "I am a Hero of the Present" which used to be to fight for and seize independence and defend it, namely by taking up arms. But now, to maintain the existence of our nation and state, we all must be able to think and act positively, encouraging all elements of the nation to do the best for the nation and state.
