KUPANG (July 12, 2023) - The Indonesian Minister of Social Affairs provided reinforcement and listened to the needs and hopes of 22 victims of the Crime of Trafficking in Persons (TPPO) who became Indonesian Migrant Workers (PMI), located at the Efata Sentra Kupang, East Nusa Tenggara.

The 22 victims of TIP have received rehabilitation and protection in a center owned by the Ministry of Social Affairs. They were also given training on empowerment programs and entrepreneurship opportunities such as agriculture, animal husbandry, heavy equipment training, sewing, weaving, grocery/basketball/culinary shop entrepreneurship, and various other business fields, in accordance with the results of the assessment and adapting to the characteristics of their region of origin. Not only having dialogues with victims of TIP, Social Minister Risma also took the time to motivate beneficiaries undergoing social rehabilitation at the Kupang Efata Center. They are persons with hearing and speech disabilities, physical disabilities, victims of violence, children in conflict with the law (ABH), and other vulnerable groups.

Accompanying the Director General of Social Rehabilitation Pepen Nazaruddin, Special Advisor for the Minister of Social Affairs (SKM) for Communication and Mass Media Don Rozano Sigit Prakoeswa, SKM for the Need for Social Welfare Services Luhur Budijarso Lulu, Director for Disaster and Emergency Victims (KBK) Rachmad Koesnadi, and Head of the Efata Center Kupang Radik Karsadiguna.
