Social Affairs Minister Risma Reviews and Provides Logistical Assistance at the West Pasaman Earthquake Disaster Area

Social Affairs Minister Risma visited residents affected by the earthquake in Negeri Kajay, Talamau District, West Pasaman Regency and Nagari Malampah, Tigo Nagari District, Pasaman Regency, Saturday (26/02). The Minister of Social Affairs ensures that residents receive assistance and their basic needs are met.

After the earthquake occurred on Friday (25/02), the Indonesian Ministry of Social Affairs immediately dispatched the Disaster Preparedness Team (Tagana) in coordination with the local Social Office and related agencies to collect data, evacuate victims to safe locations, and distribute logistical assistance.

The Indonesian Ministry of Social Affairs also sent logistical assistance from the Regional Warehouse in Palembang, from the Palembang Warehouse, and from the Padang Center for Social Welfare Education and Training (BBPPKS).
