Social Affairs Minister Risma Visits Flood Affected Locations in Jayapura City

The Indonesian Minister of Social Affairs Tri Rismaharini visited Papua to ensure that victims affected by floods and landslides in Jayapura City received assistance.

During the visit to Jayapura, Social Affairs Minister Risma visited five points, namely the Jayapura Organda Housing to review locations affected by the flash flood that occurred some time ago, followed by a review of evacuee locations and psychosocial support services at Trikora Sports Center, Friday (14/1).

The aid handed over during the Social Minister's working visit to Jayapura was valued at IDR1,390,539,388, consisting of disaster logistics assistance, compensation for heirs for 7 victims, basic necessities, cleaning equipment, school equipment, sarongs, baby equipment, and in-kind materials.
