KEI BESAR (July 24, 2024) - Minister of Social Affairs Tri Rismaharini led the National Aid Distribution activities to Kei Besar Island, Southeast Maluku by boarding the KRI Teluk Weda 526 Warship. The trip started on Tuesday (23/7/2024) from the TNI AL Tawiri Ambon Pier towards Kei Besar Island, Southeast Maluku.

Empowerment assistance consists of plant seeds, agricultural tools, seaweed cultivation equipment and materials, fish farming equipment, boats equipped with fishing equipment, chickens, and livestock equipment. Other aids transported on the KRI are sports, art equipment, school supplies, nutrition, and disability aids.

The Ministry of Social Affairs also distributed assistance for 2 Integrated Simple Houses (RST) units and built clean water facilities in Ohoinangan Village, Kei Besar District. Previously, the Ministry of Social Affairs had distributed Street Lighting assistance (PJUTS) at 200 points.

Social Affairs Minister Risma and her staff traveled more than 27 hours by sea to reach Kei Besar Island, which is the location for the distribution of aid. Sea Travel is 581 kilometers or 361 nautical miles from Ambon City.
