Social Affairs Risma's Working Visit to North Kalimantan

NUNUKAN REGENCY (November 2-3, 2023) - The Minister of Social Affairs of the Republic of Indonesia, Tri Rismaharini paid a working visit to North Kalimantan on Thursday and Friday (2/11/2023 - 3/11/2023).

At the first location, the Indonesian Minister of Social Affairs together with Member of Commission VI of the House of Representatives of the Republic of Indonesia Deddy Yevri Hanteru Sitorus visited and provided assistance at Binuang Airport, Central Krayan District, Nunukan Regency, North Kalimantan Province. 

At the second location, Minister of Social Affairs Risma together with Member of Commission VI DPR RI Deddy Yevri Hanteru Sitorus visited and provided assistance on Nunukan Island.

Assistance was given to the children of the Santo Gabriel Foundation, MTS and MA Al-Anshori, Yasinta Foundation, Santa Maria Susteran Foundation and Ruhama Orphanage in the form of 299 aid packages containing uniforms, bags and shoes, as well as three Personal Computers (PCs) to the Sinta Foundation.

The Minister of Social Affairs also did not forget to encourage the children who attended this activity, considering that these children were the children of Indonesian Migrant Workers (PMI).

Also present at the activity was the Head of the Santa Maria Foundation, Sister Yovita PRR, Special Staff to the Minister for Communications and Mass Media, Don Rozano Sigit Prakoeswa, the Acting Director General of Social Empowerment, Beni Sujanto, Head of General Bureau, Wiwiek Widiyanti, and the Acting Head of Public Relations Bureau, Supomo.

At the third location, Social Minister Risma visited Sebatik Island, Nunukan Regency. The visit was carried out as an empowerment mission for communities in Disadvantaged, Frontier and Outermost (3T) areas, especially North Kalimantan.

During her visit, Minister of Social Affairs Risma handed over aid to Al Khairot Islamic Boarding School and residents on Sebatik Island.
