Dharma Wanita Advisor of Ministry of Social Affairs, Mrs. Grace Batubara, accompanied by Director of Heroism, Pioneering, Solidarity, and Social Restoration, Joko Irianto distributed 2,000 packages of sembako in Pondok Karya Village, Pondok Aren Subdistrict, South Tangerang.
The assistance will be distributed to residents whose economies are affected by COVID-19 such as coffee sellers, public transportation workers, construction workers, night market sellers, and environmental cleaners.
During her visit, Mrs. Grace Batubara took the time to greet the residents of Pondok Karya and advised to always obey the COVID-19 health protocol by keeping physical distance, washing hands regularly and wearing a mask in order to break the chain of the spread of COVID-19.
One of the recipients of the assistance, Mrs. Nuryati, a widow who is selling peyek for living, said that she was very grateful to receive sembako from the government especially from Ministry of Social Affairs.
Mr. Niman, a freelance worker who is also received sembako, said that he would use the assistance well.
Present at the event were Head of OHH Section of Directorate General of Social Empowerment, Head of Sub-Directorate of TMPNU, MPN, and TMPN, Kasie TMPN and MPN, Head of Pondok Aren Village, Head of Pondok Karya Sub-district, Head of RW 07 Pondok Karya.
