JAKARTA (June 8, 2020) - Located at National Heroes Cemetery (TMPNU) Kalibata, Minister of Social Affairs Juliari P Batubara do a grave pilgrimage and flowering the tomb of Mr. Dr. H.M. Taufiq Kiemas.

Since Monday morning, some people has visited the grave, including Minister of Law and Human Rights Yasonna Laoly, Minister of Administrative and Bureaucratic Reform RI Tjahjo Kumolo, Minister of Women's Empowerment and Child Protection I Gusti Ayu Bintang Darmawati and Deputy Chairman of the Republic Indonesia Ahmad Basarah .

Taufiq Kiemas has become a Chair of MPR-RI for the 2009-2013 period. He passed away on June 8th, 2013 at the age of 70 years and was buried in TMPNU Kalibata next to the grave of his father and mother, Mr. Tji Agoes Kiemas SH and Mrs. Hj Hamzatoen Roesjda Kiemas.

Taufiq Kiemas is remembered as the pioneer father of the 4 pillars of the Indonesian MPR which contains Pancasila, the 1945 Constitution, the Republic of Indonesia, and Unity in Diversity.

At the end of his visit, Juliari stated that a big nation is a nation that appreciates its heroes and we need to start learn it in early ages to our children and grandchildren.

Minister of Social Affairs accompanied by Director of Heroism, Pioneering, Solidarity, and Social Restoration, Head of Public Relations Bureau, and Head of Sub-Directorate of TMPNU, MPN and TMPN.
