Social Minister Visits "Budi Perkasa" Disability Center in Palembang
PALEMBANG (11 May 2021) - Minister of Social Affairs, Tri Rismaharini, accompanied by the Director
General of Social Rehabilitation, Harry Hikmat visited the Disability Center
"Budi Perkasa" in Palembang in the context of the Delivery of Social
Assistance for Social Disaster Victims and the ATENSI Package for Persons with
Physical Disabilities.
As a form of deep concern,
the Government through the Ministry of Social Affairs will provide compensation
assistance to Ni Wayan Sujati's heirs of IDR 15,000,000 and provide social
assistance worth IDR 100,000,000 to ease the burden on the family. In addition,
the Minister of Social Affairs also gave the highest appreciation to Bharatu
(Posthumous) I Komang Wira Natha for his dedication in Puncak Regency, Papua
Province.
On this occasion, the
Minister of Social Affairs, Risma greatly appreciated the ATENSI Assistance for
Persons with Disabilities in the form of Productive Economic Business
Development worth IDR 2,400,000, Ankle Foot Orthosis (AFO) Shoes and
Wheelchairs Assistance for people with physical disabilities as well as the
delivery of basic food assistance for all beneficiaries.
The Minister of Social
Affairs Working Visit was welcomed by the Governor of South Sumatra, Herman
Deru.
The event of Delivery Social
Assistance for Social Disaster Victims and the ATENSI Package for Persons with
Physical Disabilities was attended by the Secretary General, Hartono Laras, the
Director General of Social Empowerment, Edi Suharto, and Representatives from
the Directorate of Social Rehabilitation of Persons with Disabilities.
