Social Rehabilitation Recovers Someone So They Can Function Normally Again

JAKARTA (January 10^th, 2024) – The Ministry of National Development Planning/National Development Planning Agency held a Discussion of the Government Work Plan (RKP) and Adjustment of the Ministry of Social Affairs' Strategic Plan (Renstra) for 2025 – 2029.

The synchronization of Ministry of Social Affairs’ programs was one of the keys to making program implementation consistent with the planning. Therefore, the Beneficiaries (PM) can feel the presence of the state.

“Social rehabilitation presents to restore and develop someone’s ability suffering from social dysfunction for them to function normally,” Secretary of Directorate General of Social Rehabilitation Salahuddin Yahya said at the Bilateral Meeting of 2025 RKP Discussion and the Adjustment of Ministry of Social Affairs Strategic Plan for 2025 – 2029 in Bappenas Tower in H.R Rasuna Said, Jakarta on Wednesday (January 10^th, 2024).

Another important thing is that the Directorate General of Social Rehabilitation will contribute to reducing complementarian poverty considering there is considering there are variants of natural vulnerability that are challenged by sensitivity.

"There are variations in vulnerability that must be implemented to function properly in society, but continue to provide services to people with disabilities, children, the elderly, victims of disasters and emergencies," he said.

The Head of Planning Bureau, Secretary of Directorate General of Social Rehabilitation, Secretary of Directorate General of Social Protection and Security, and Secretary of Directorate General of Social Empowerment also present in the meeting.

Secretary of Inspectorate General, The Head of Information and Data Center on Social Welfare, The Head of Education, Training, and Professional Development Center, The Head of Law Bureau, and the Head of the Secretariat of the National Commission on Disabilities also come to the meeting.
