MAKASSAR (12th June 2020) - To improve Social Rehabilitation (Rehsos) services for persons with physical disabilities, The Social Rehabilitation Center for Persons with Physical Disabilities (BRSPDF) “Wirajaya” in Makassar conducts Technical Guidance (Bimtek) online. The Bimtek activities which were attended by all employees of the "Wirajaya" disability Center were carried out interactively and lasted in 2 (two) sessions, where the first session was held on Wednesday (10/06) and continued on the second session which was held on Friday (12/06).

The Bimtek activity with the theme to Building Files in Case Handling aims to optimize Social Rehabilitation services, both for Social Rehabilitation services for the recipients within the Center and also Social Rehabilitation services outside the Center. Even in the midst of the COVID-19 pandemic, Social rehabilitation services are still optimized so that social functioning even in social capacity and social responsibility for persons with disabilities can be realized.

One of the efforts made to improve social rehabilitation services for persons with disabilities is the ability of service providers, especially for Social Workers (Peksos) and other professions related to the provision of social rehabilitation services can know the progress of "clients" (service recipient) at any time through good report recording.

“Therefore, building files or the existence of recording reporting documents is needed to know the progress of the case of each the recipients, both services within the Center, or social rehabilitation services outside the Center," said the Head of Sub Division of Administration (Kasubag TU) of the "Wirajaya" Center for disabilities, Agustine Prabandari.

Furthermore, Ari or Agustine Prabandari's nickname, hopes that during this pandemic, the employees are required to remain productive in providing social rehabilitation services for the recipients. "The pandemic that happened is not an obstacle to not working optimally, but in providing services it must still refer to the existing COVID-19 protocols," her hoped.

Present as a speaker at the Bimtek activities, Mrs. Tuti Kartika, who is currently a lecturer at the Bandung Social Welfare Polytechnic. In her presentation, Tuti Kartika gave an understanding starting from the definition of files, their objectives of files and the importance of the role and function of files in case handling for each client.

In addition, Tuti Kartika also explained technically how to take good record keeping. "Certainly, the file is one of the important variables to measure the development of social rehabilitation services provided to the Recipients and/or clients," said Tuti.

Meanwhile, Salmiah one of the Peksos at the "Wirajaya" disability center seemed happy to be able to join the Bimtek. "Of course we got a lot of knowledge and references through this activity. Hopefully what we get can be useful for improving the provision of social rehabilitation services for the recipients within the Center, as well as social rehabilitation services outside the Center," hoped Salmiah.
