Strengthening Commitment, Directorate General of Social Rehabilitation Holds Regional Coordination Meeting for IPWL II

BOGOR (October 28, 2019) - According to the Director General of Social Rehabilitation, in collaboration between the Ministry of Social Affairs and IPWL it is necessary to strengthen the commitment to implement holistic, standardized and systematic social rehabilitation.

"Because IPWL is collaborating with the Ministry of Social Affairs, please IPWL focus more on social rehabilitation. His commitment is there," said Edi. The regulation is getting better, related to the change of Panti into Balai and especially related to the term advanced social rehabilitation, he said.

Furthermore Edi Suharto stated that there were some IPWLs owned by the community that were concerned about prevention. Social rehabilitation is not always all treated in institutions. With this new concept, Progress 5.0 is expected to have therapy in the institution, social care and family support.

"With Progress 5.0 NP, it allows IPWL to conduct outreach, to strengthen families. His family is given therapy or reinforcement," said Edi.

The activity which lasted until 31 October 2019 was attended by 75 participants from IPWL in West Java, Banten, East Java, NTT, Bali, NTB, Kendari, Ambon, Makassar, Social Services of DKI Jakarta Province, West Java Province, Bogor City, BRSKP NAPZA "Bambu Apus" Jakarta, BRSKP NAPZA "Satria" Baturraden, BRSKP NAPZA "Galih Pakuan" Bogor.
