YOGYAKARTA (24 August 2020) - The ODH Social Rehabilitation Workshop "Kahuripan" in Sukabumi as one of the technical implementing units of the Indonesian Ministry of Social Affairs that handles PPKS People with HIV carries out an ATENSI program based on Social Welfare Institutions, namely the distribution of social assistance, social guidance, skills and independence to 50 PPKS people living with HIV in Yogyakarta Province.
This activity aims to stimulate the PPKS ODH assisted by LKS Foundation Victory Plus Yogyakarta which is a strategic partner of the ODH Workshop "Kahuripan" in Sukabumi to be empowered in meeting their daily needs through the development of independent business potentials that have been submitted through previous proposals. With the help of this independent business capital stimulant, PPKS ODH will be encouraged to start building creative businesses in their respective fields of skills and expertise to support independent lives.
PPKS will be supervised by the ODH Workshop team "Kahuripan" Sukabumi and LKS Foundation Victory Plus Yogyakarta, both in the use of business funds and in the business implementation process so that it can run well and maximally. The stages of the distribution of aid activities begin with data collection, submission of proposals for social assistance, verification, determination of beneficiaries, distribution of assistance, supervision and reporting.
This activity was opened by the Director of Social Rehabilitation of the Persons with Social Deviance Issues & Victims of Trafficking in Persons of the Ministry of Social Affairs, Waskito Budi Kusumo. The opening of the activity was continued with presentations and giving directions to all PPKS ODH recipients of social assistance.
In his directive, Waskito Budi explained about the implementation of social attention in handling PPKS ODH and urged all participants who received assistance to use the social assistance provided in accordance with the proposed business proposal. In addition, Waskito Budi hopes that the social assistance funds for skills and independence social guidance provided can be developed to assist and support other PPKS PLWH who have not received assistance.
The distribution of social assistance for social skills, skills and independence also received support and was attended by the local government, represented by the Head of the Social Service Division of the Special Region of Yogyakarta.
The head of the ODH "Kahuripan" Sukabumi Workshop, Dede Khaerufirdaos, when presenting the report on the implementation of the activities, hoped that the social assistance for skills and independence that was distributed could alleviate suffering, protect and restore physical, mental and social life conditions including psychosocial and economic conditions and empower potential owned by PPKS ODH in order to live a normal and independent life.
