BEKASI, (25 July 2021) - The Ministry of Social
Affairs through Social Rehabilitation Centers in Bekasi City, among others the "Pangudi
Luhur" Training Center, the Elderly Center "Budhi Dharma", and
the Center for Visual Sensory Disabilities "Tan Miyat" established a
public kitchen located in Aneka Bhati Building II, which will take place from
23-28 July 2021 as a form of response from the Ministry of Social Affairs in
responding to the direction of Minister of Social Affairs Tri Rismaharini in
meeting food needs for residents affected by COVID-19 and health workers who
are at the forefront in handling COVID-19 patients.
Harmonious cooperation is
carried out by employees, honorary workers, beneficiaries from the three
centers and the Bekasi City Disaster Preparedness Cadets (Tagana). In an effort
to prevent the transmission of COVID-19 to the three centers, do not forget to
implement health protocols by conducting antigen swabs for public kitchen staff
and still wearing masks and gloves, directed by Kokom Komalawati as Head of the
Bekasi Pangudi Luhur Center.
The team worked for hand in
hand in every work process that was carried out since the evening through
several stages, namely folding lunch boxes, cooking, printing rice, wrapping
side dishes, wrapping vegetables, arranging food into lunch boxes, packaging
and delivered to the location.
So that every day they
can prepare as many as 3300 food boxes with varied menus and
nutritional requirements such as the first day's menu consisting of rice,
stewed meat, stir-fried beans, boiled eggs, oranges, and mineral water. The menu
for the second day consisted of rice, rendang
meat, stir-fried bitter melon, boiled eggs, oranges, and mineral water. And, the
third day's menu consisted of rice, chicken stew, tempeh orek, boiled eggs, oranges, and mineral water.
This food will be
distributed to health workers at the Bekasi Regency and City Hospitals and
Health Centers, Bekasi Regency funeral workers, people undergoing
self-isolation, as well as to the seven locations of Social Welfare
Institutions (LKS) in collaboration with the Ministry of Social Affairs.
