CILEUNYI (14 July 2021) - The Ministry of Social Affairs through the Indonesian Braille Literacy Center (BLBI) "Abiyoso" today distributed Social Rehabilitation Assistance (ATENSI) program in the form of business capital worth IDR 4,000,000 and IDR 1,000,000 to people with physical disabilities.

The delivery of this assistance is a form of follow-up to the results of the assessment carried out by the BLBI "Abiyoso" Cimahi team for the persons with physical disabilities.

Yan Martin is one of the people with physical disabilities who received business capital assistance. Every day he works by renting out Play Station rentals to meet family needs. In addition, Yan also makes food packaging from waste paper.

However, after the COVID-19 outbreak, these packaging orders began to decrease. His wife also helps the family's economy by selling fried food every afternoon.

With his disability, Yan Martin's mobility depends on the skateboard he designed himself. Previously he had used a wheelchair, but his hands were not strong enough to pedal the wheel because the wheelchair provided was difficult for him to use.

The ATENSI assistance worth IDR 4,000,000 will be used by Yan Martin for business capital selling electricity vouchers/tokens at his home.

The head of BLBI "Abiyoso", Isep Sepriyan said that this assistance must really be used to run a business.

"The BLBI team "Abiyoso" will assist in the purchase of equipment needed for the business," said Isep.

Engkus, who is also a physically disabled person, received business capital development assistance to purchase a cassava grater machine used for his kicimpring business.

The kicimpring business run by Engkus has grown quite a bit. With his disabled hands, the process of grating cassava for ingredients for making kicimpring is very hampered because so far he has had so much difficulty grating coconut with a manual/traditional grater.

Yan Martin and Engkus are very grateful for the ATENSI assistance provided for the venture capital. Even though they have physical limitations, they are people with disabilities who are passionate about work. After receiving ATENSI's assistance, Yan Martin and Engkus were determined to take their business seriously.
