YOGYAKARTA (19 August 2020) - Synchronization of Centers/Loka for Children in Need of Special Protection (AMPK) in 2020 in the context of implementing the Social Rehabilitation Assistance (ATENSI) program. This activity will take place on 17-20 August 2020.

This synchronization aims to equalize perceptions, policy directions, budget acceleration and strengthening the role of AMPK Centers/Loka in the implementation of the ATENSI program.

Optimization of ATENSI through increased collaboration, synergy and integration of Balai/Loka with Sakti Peksos and Child Welfare Institutions (LKSA). These efforts are made to meet the needs, care and protection of children.

"For the implementation of ATENSI, a paradigm shift is needed. There is no longer a sectoral work in dealing with children's problems. However, partnerships with other institutions are still needed," explained the Director General of Social Rehabilitation, Harry Hikmat.

"Prevention of children's problems is very important. For this reason, it is necessary to increase the role of families and communities. Restore the function of Balai/Loka as temporary shelters," he continued.

Implement family, community and residential based ATENSI. The Balai/Loka as a leader point under the supervision of the Directorate is responsible for providing social care, family support, therapy, case response, skills training, and entrepreneurship.

"Social workers must be sensitive to issues related to children's problems. The more proactive we are, the faster the realization of the ATENSI program will be," said Director of Child Social Rehabilitation, Kanya Eka Santi.

The series of Synchronization activities included opening, presentation of material from the Director General of Social Rehabilitation and Director of Child Social Rehabilitation, Focus Group Discussion, and a visit to BRSAMPK "Antasena" Magelang. This activity was attended by 95 participants from 8 AMPK Centers/Loka in Indonesia and broadcast virtually through the Zoom meeting application.
