PANCURBATU (September 28, 2019) - Head of the Social Rehabilitation Center for People with HIV (BRSODH) "Bahagia" Medan attended the 16th anniversary of the Medan Plus Social Welfare Institution (LKS). The activity was carried out in Stakoetoe, Salam Tani Village, Pancurbatu District, Deli Serdang
"Building synergy and support for the Medan Plus LKS must always be built because they are our partners in providing Social Rehabilitation services to People with HIV in North Sumatra," said Sumarno Sri Wibowo as Head of BRSODH "Bahagia" Medan.
This is done as a manifestation of the NP 5.0 Progress, which is to provide assistance to the Social Welfare Institution that is engaged in handling HIV.
As we all know, since 2003 the Medan Plus LKS has struggled to provide services to PLHIV and Victims of Drug Abuse. "We must give the highest appreciation to LKS" Medan Plus "", said Sumarno.
On the same occasion, Eban Totonta Kaban as the founder of LKS "Medan Plus" poured his ups and downs in pioneering the institution he founded.
"The bitter sweet story of 16 years has been our strength and many failures we have gone through and many friends who have pioneered together have passed away to the presence of God Almighty. I was not sure whether PLHIV and Victims of Drug Abuse could be empowered and useful," said Eban.
He added that the motto in the organization he had built was the necessity of PLHIV and drug victims to be healthy and caring.
"By being healthy and caring, we are able to help many people and be useful in society, so that stigma decreases and there is no more discrimination," Eban said
The 16th Anniversary of the "Medan Plus" LKS was attended by representatives of the Adam Malik Hospital, National Narcotics Agency (BNN) of Langkat and Deli Serdang Districts, Health Services, Village Development Board (Babinsa), Community Development and Security Order Order (Babinkamtibmas) Pancurbatu and Recipient Institutions Required to Report.
