The 2nd Day of AHLF on Disability-Inclusive Development and Partnership Beyond 2025

The ASEAN High-Level Forum produced the "Makassar Recommendations" to strengthen the commitment to empowering people with disabilities, realizing inclusivity, and elevating the dignity of people with disabilities. This recommendation was produced at the ASEAN High-Level Forum on Disability Inclusive Development and Partnership after 2025 or The ASEAN High-Level Forum (AHLF) on Enabling Disability-Inclusive Development and Partnership beyond 2025 which took place in Makassar on 10-12 October 2023.

After two days of formulation, 10 recommendations were finally produced or called "Makassar Recommendations". These recommendations were read by the Commissioner of the National Commission on Disabilities (KND), Eka Pratama before the closing of the forum on Wednesday 11 October 2023. The 10 recommendations are first, accelerating the implementation of the ASEAN Enabling Masterplan 2025 by mainstreaming the rights of persons with disabilities in ASEAN cooperation. Second, further support the review and report on the implementation of the ASEAN Enabling Masterplan 2025 by including the participation of people with disabilities.
