PEKANBARU (October 20, 2020) - The Ministry of Social Affairs through the "Rumbai" Social Sehabilitation Center for Children Need Special Protection (BRSAMPK) in Pekanbaru continues to be active in preventing bullying or bullying of fellow children in the community and in the world of education, through the Social Work activity goes to Community at Dar El Hikmah Islamic Boarding School Pekanbaru, the activity was attended by students junior high school age as many as 60 students.
Social Worker goes to Community at Dar El Hikmah Islamic Boarding School is one form of activity from the implementation of community-based ATENSI for Children according to the Directives of the Director General of Social Rehabilitation. ATENSI for children can be done on a family, community and residential basis. The community is an important instrument in preventing and overcoming problems that occur in children. PGTC places the community as a significant Potential Target Group. Islamic boarding schools become one of the social entities, environmental entities where children grow and develop (person in environment).
In this PGTC activity, "Rumbai" Children's Center in Pekanbaru had the opportunity to introduce the profession and function of Social Worker as well as the Center program to students as a step to prevent cases that are rife in children. Surita Triya Wahyuni as a social worker also explained the problems that often occur at the age of children and adolescents which are mostly handled by the "Rumbai" Children's Center in Pekanbaru.
The "Rumbai" Children's Center team carried out Ice Breaking activities, group dynamics and continued with needs mapping through the active participation of the students in making a problem tree analysis. The students of Dar El Hikmah explore the problems that often arise and occur in the Dar El Hikmah Islamic Boarding School. Abuse or bullying is still a massive problem among students.
The psychology advisor for "Rumbai" Children's Center Pekanbaru, Putri Reno Sari, also educates students on tips on how to avoid from being and become victims of bullying, "Students must be able to convey what they are experiencing, don't be held alone, must be assertive and play the role of peers (peer group) It is also important to prevent bullying among students," he said.
The head of MTs at Dar El Hikmah Islamic Boarding School Pekanbaru, Ustadz Minan said "We thank you for the presence of the Team from the Rumbai Children's Center who have provided enlightenment and tips to avoid bullying that often happens to our students, this activity is very beneficial for us and the students," he said.
