DENPASAR (November 15, 2019) - The Indonesian Minister of Social Affairs, Juliari P. Batubara accompanied by the Director General of Social Rehabilitation, Edi Suharto made the first working visit to the Technical Implementation Unit (UPT) of the Directorate General of Social Rehabilitation at the Social Rehabilitation Center for People with Visual Sensory Disabilities (BRSPDSN) "Mahatmiya" Tabanan Bali.

The Minister of Social Affairs and his entourage were very impressed by the performance of People with Visual Sensory Disabilities (PDSN) in the Kecak dance and the art collaboration between People with Hearing and Speech Disabilities (PDSRW) which presented Pendet Dance accompanied by gamelan accompaniment from PDSNs. The peak of PDSN's performance was marked by the presentation of the Mahatmiya Band whose drummer, Nanda won the MURI award for longest drummer.

"This band is very cool. Mr. Edi, if there is our event in Jakarta, I ask this band to be invited," asked the Minister of Social Affairs to Edi Suharto.

On this occasion the Minister of Social Affairs distributed tools to 130 PDSNs consisting of 80 PDSNs in Bali Province and 50 PDSNs in NTT Province in the form of 77 talking cell phones, 77 blind sticks, 77 talking hours, and 3 hearing aids.

Also accompanying the Minister of Social Affairs in this working visit echelon I and II officials within the Ministry of Social Affairs, Special Staff of the Minister of Social Affairs, Himbara, Bulog, as well as officials in the Bali Provincial Social Service and Regency / City Social Service in Bali.
